Summer 2024: Partners in Craft

Each Seasonal collection starts with a flicker of inspiration—an idea, an image, a memory. This time, we chose to pay tribute to the stunning, short-lived blooms that come and go as springtime shifts into summer. At Heath, this concept came to life in a cool-hued palette that plays with delicate gradients.

The spirit of Beyond the Bloom is universal; the responses it elicits, unique. That’s why we were so excited to see how our creative collaborators around the world would interpret the season’s theme—and overjoyed at their willingness to take the journey with us.

This year, we worked with an array of brilliant makers to give the collection new layers of breadth and depth. Our partners come from many disciplines, but they’re linked by a shared commitment to craft, and their contributions, as expected, are extraordinary.
Textiles from Carolina Jimenez's studio.

Carolina Jimenez | Brooklyn, NY

For this new collection of one-of-a-kind woven paintings, Carolina Jimenez drew inspiration from the landscape of her childhood in Southern California: “the cliffs, oceans, dunes and sky of California remain the backdrop to countless memories of family.”
A Heath Studio Mug with tea, an All Roads napkin, and a Plaza tray with fruits and cheese, with a spreading knife, sit on top of a Kaymet tray.

Kaymet | London, UK

Like Heath, Kaymet has been around since the 1940s; also like Heath, they’re not afraid of making bold creative choices. Case in point: the striking seasonal colors adorning Kaymet’s signature aluminum trays, custom-made for this collection.
A Heath Bud Vase in Ultramarine and a book, sitting on a Taka Woodworks table.

Hideki Takayama | Machiko, Japan

Showcasing his signature sense of weight, form, and feel, Japanese sculptor Hideki Takayama created a range of hand-made furniture for the collection. He sourced the wood locally, and encourages us to appreciate the “beautiful grains” of his materials.
A table set with Heath dinnerware, on All Roads tablecloths and placemats.

All Roads | Yucca Valley, CA

These tea towels, runners, and more from All Roads pulled inspiration from two sources: the cherry blossoms that bloom this time of year in Washington DC—where co-founder Janelle Pietrzak grew up—and the citrus fruits that signify the end of winter in her adopted home, Southern California.

There’s no shortage of wonderful things to discover in this year’s Summer Seasonal. Like our Partners in Craft, we’d like to thank you for taking the journey with us.
