Everywhere, creatures of habit are without habits. The ones that previously defined them, are no longer—a combo platter of hallelujah and oh no! A creature sans-habit is like a hermit crab sans-shell. Seeking, vulnerable, and full of possibility. Yup, sounds about right.
As if we needed more evidence that morning routines had gone belly-up—folks are mixing sport coats with sweatpants for work. It's appalling and perfect.
Dear home, we've sidetracked, yet again. This note is about beginning anew, with rituals and routines that please and ease, with none that tease.

How are you sleeping? Before all of this, were you a night carafe, tray, and sachet kind of person? If so—impressive. How about freshly cut yard flowers on the nightstand? So Martha! Whatever it takes to deepen your shut-eye and brighten your morning—make it happen. Be kind to you. This is about comfort, not perfection.

It's amazing how many of us have more time than we know what to do with, while others of us are perpetually strapped. Perhaps it's always been this way. Who knows?
