There’s more than beautiful dinnerware, tile, and home goods to discover at Heath San Francisco. You can sign up for a factory tour, see what’s new on the shelves at the Newsstand, or cross paths with members of the Heath Collective: a group of likeminded makers who share space—and inspiration—within our walls.
The Heath Collective was founded upon the belief that craft is at its very best when it’s collaborative. When we moved into our San Francisco headquarters, we wanted to give talented creatives of all stripes—bakers, printmakers, jewelers, and more—a home to gather, exchange ideas, and push their respective fields forward.
Today, the Heath Collective is six members strong. Let’s meet them.
The Aesthetic Union
As one of the last remaining letterpress studios in the Bay Area, The Aesthetic Union relies on traditional machinery and methods to bring customers’ ideas to life. Even if you’re not in the market for prints, it’s worth stopping by: they also sell high-quality stationary, art supplies, and other cool tools for creatives.

Julia Turner
Jeweler and educator Julia Turner developed a special appreciation for traditional methods and materials during her years as a silversmith. Each of her elegant, evocative pieces reflects her fascination with the boundaries—and connections—between the natural and the human-made.

Liz Oppenheim
Each of Liz Oppenheim’s beautifully subtle rings, necklaces, and earrings are crafted using a traditional Japanese sculpting method. Molds are created using a hand-stretched beeswax/pine resin mixture, lending each piece a fibrous, finely grooved texture called hikime.
Tartine Manufactory
Tartine Manufactory—just a stone’s throw from their original Mission District bakery—is more than a simple cafe: it’s a creative culinary research and production facility where enthusiasts and experts alike gather to share in the joy of good, honest food.

Windy Chien
