Rautis is small family company that strives to preserve and develop the time-honored craft of glass bead blowing. Their manufacturing operation utilizes a work organization method that is unique in today’s world. They continue to pass on their knowledge, through exhibitions, workshops, and collaboration with schools. In 2020, the work of all the glass bead blowers of Poniklá, was recognized as a globally unique skill through its addition to the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
