Functional and beautiful, this ceramic carafe takes an everyday form and elevates it with hand carved pleats and rustic surface. It comes complete with a matching ceramic cup which can sit neatly on top of the carafe. Acclaimed Japanese potter Akio Nukaga crafts one-of-a-kind works of art for use in daily life. Each one of Akio Nukaga's signature pleated designs are thrown and carved by hand at his countryside studio in Kasama, Japan.

In 2009, Akio traveled overseas for the first time to exhibit and share his pottery with a new audience at the Heath LA showroom. Since that show, Akio has brought new work to Heath every year, and the friendship that’s formed along the way is as soulful and alive as the objects themselves.
