The focal idea of this design is the woven handle, which is modeled on the original Heath teapot, designed by Edith Heath. The handle reminds us that plants like to move according to the sun, seeking light or shade. The two nesting bowls create a frame for a small garden, and I see many interpretations possible for the choice of plant. In this case, succulents are arranged with small pebbles and larger rocks. There’s no single way to place them—it’s about the creativity of presentation and expression. — Tung Chiang

This piece was photographed with succulents. If you select Curbside Pickup during checkout, your piece will be presented to you with a plant inside of it—either the one photographed or something similar. Curbside Pickup is available at our San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sausalito locations. Orders marked to ship will not include a plant.

There is a small drainage hole in the bottom of the planter.
Occasionally wipe with a damp cloth. If necessary use a mild, non-acidic, non-abrasive dish detergent.
This piece may scratch wood or other soft surfaces when placed.
