In our ninth annual Design Series, Heath Clay Studio Director Tung Chiang explores the relationship between soil, clay, plants, and their caretakers. The collection, entitled Forms of Care, recasts the role of a planter beyond simple functionality, elevating it into an art object that lives in conversation with the plant it holds.
Nature's design is more magical than anything we can make. My interest is to offer a new perspective, a new way to see nature's beauty.
How to Shop the Design Series 9 Collection
Each Design Series collection is more than a year in the making, but they sell out fast.
This year, the pieces will be sold exclusively online. On the plus side, this means people outside of California have an equal opportunity to become collectors. It also means the moment of launch can feel breathlessly quick.
We want to give our community the best possible preparation for the release of Design Series Nine. Below are some facts and suggestions to get you ready.
Preview: March 1-9, 2022 online and in our San Francisco Mission showroom Sale: March 10, 2022 online only, 9am PT
During the preview period, review the product details carefully and think about size, shape, and where you’d like to place a plant in your home to determine which pieces might be your top picks.
Create an account before the day of launch to save time. Make sure to include your shipping/billing address. Accepted payment methods include PayPal, Shop Pay, Credit Card, and Apple Pay on mobile.
On the day of launch, sales will open at 9am Pacific Time, online only. Be prepared to shop!
Items placed in your online cart will not be held during your browsing experience. If you are sure you want a piece, purchase as soon as you select, or it can be purchased by another collector.
We’re taking extra care to package these one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable pieces, so processing your order may take longer than our usual 72-hour turnaround. Curbside orders will include a plant. Orders that are shipped will not include a plant.
