Heath LA | August 25, 2018, 5–8 pm
Aesthetic Union—member of the Heath Collective and fellow designer-maker inside Heath SF—is taking their print shop from Heath SF to Heath LA. Join printer-owner James Tucker and his letterpress (yes, it traveled with him from San Francisco), for the opening celebration, featuring new prints from collaborations with LA-based artists: Liz Robb, John Zabawa, and Nicole Monk.
Being part of, and hosts to, the artist/designing/making community is inspiring. It promotes creativity: for us, for you, for them. When we opened Heath SF, we were fortunate to have studio space for other like-minded folks, which became the Heath Collective. Working together is fun and creative—we swap inspirations and frustrations, share materials, quandaries, and solutions. James and Aesthetic Union have been one of these residents and collaborators since the beginning. You might have seen his work in our showrooms, from the tags on our Heath Sews bags to
posters from last year's Design Series show.
Come for the opening celebration: Meet James over drinks and good music. See the letterpress in action, and shop Aesthetic Union’s freshly printed goods.
