Design Series Ten: Between Open and CloseThe final chapter of Design Series is here. After 10 years of design exploration, creativity, and one-of-a-kind works, Design Series Ten: Between Open & Close concludes the series, signifying the end of one era and the beginning of another.
Design Series Ten: Between Open & Close will be on display and available for purchase in the San Francisco Showroom.
Present Ten
To celebrate ten years of design, we also have a new special collection of seven pieces called Present Ten. Each custom piece houses ten objects representing each Design Series. There are an extremely limited number of sets, each unique, original, and made specifically for this retrospective collection.
Present Ten will be on display and available for purchase in the Heath Clay Studio in the Boiler Room.
A Decade of Design, with Tung Chiang
Through his final collection in the series, Heath Clay Studio Director Tung Chiang reflects upon the past decade of the Heath Clay Studio and Design Series. Join Tung for a talk on the creativity and power of hands-on craftsmanship as a tool of design. The talk will take place in the Heath Clay Studio in the Boiler Room.

After the talk, join us in celebrating this moment, with the chance to purchase pieces from the collection. The reception will take place in the SF Showroom, with light bites and refreshments.
Online Sale
As much as we love sharing our collections in person, we understand our fans might not always get to stop by. To show our appreciation for the unwavering support from all over, we will be setting aside a selection of pieces from Design Series Ten and Present Ten to be sold online, beginning in early November.
Weekend of Celebration and Gathering
We have a weekend packed with festivities—stop by and hang out! Learn from Tung Chiang firsthand how to shape one of our most iconic designs, then glaze your own! There will also be Special Tours of Heath, led by Tung, where you’ll see the building through his eyes.
