Packaging & Shipping

Domestic orders are shipped via UPS Ground, usually within 3-5 business days. We can not ship to P.O. Boxes. See our domestic shipping rates here.

International shipping rates vary according to destination country and are calculated during checkout. International tax and duties ARE NOT included in our calculated rate; the recipient is invoiced for this once the shipment reaches its destination.

Wallpaper samples and gift cards ship free, and occasionally, lightweight items may incur a lower shipping rate. Ceramics are heavy and challenging to ship—it's our top priority to get them delivered to you intact, with minimal environmental impact (that's one reason we don't offer expedited shipping or gift wrap). Our shipping rates reflect the true cost of shipping with durable packaging that is entirely recyclable and compostable.

Exchange Policy

Heath will gladly exchange, provide store credit, or refund merchandise to the original form of payment within 30 days of the purchase date. Proof of purchase is required and the returned item(s) must be new, in original condition, with the original tags or stickers. Any cash refunds over $200 will be refunded via mailed check. Returns without proof of purchase will be reviewed. If accepted they will be processed at factory seconds pricing for store credit or exchange only. No returns will be accepted if merchandise has been used. Gift returns are eligible for exchange or store credit only. Other restrictions may apply. Warranty

We warranty our products for up to one year from purchase for proven defects in manufacture. Any breakage in shipment must be reported to Heath Ceramics within 5 days of receiving the shipment. Please email Customer Service with your transaction number or packing slip number and a photo of the breakage. A photo is necessary to reship your product.

Which bowl size is best for soup?

Traditionally, a ceramic soup bowl features a wide, shallow design and holds between 8 and 12 ounces. For a classic soup bowl shape, try the Chez Panisse Soup Bowl, a spacious, shallow bowl that combines the accessibility of ceramic bowls with the styling of classic French dinnerware.

Heath’s Pasta Bowl can also be used as a soup bowl or ramen bowl, and is also well suited to noodles, rice, and other main dishes.

Which bowl size is best for pasta?

Which bowl size is best for dessert?

It depends on the size of your sweet tooth! Traditionally, dessert bowls are 4 to 5 inches in diameter. They’re perfect for ice cream, but you can also use them as dip bowls or cereal bowls. The Plaza Dessert Bowl and Rim Line Dessert Bowl (both 4.5”) make lovely ice cream bowls, while the 5.5” Coupe Dessert Bowl is great for various desserts.

Which flatware can I use with ceramic bowls?

Are ceramic bowls dishwasher safe?

Yes, ceramic bowls from Heath are dishwasher safe. Make sure to use gentle, eco-friendly detergents and run your dishwasher on a light cycle for best results (and avoid rinse aids — they can damage your stoneware bowls’ glaze).

Stoneware is more chip-resistant than china dinnerware or porcelain bowls. Even so, be careful not to overload your dishwasher and prevent contact between dishes. Read more care instructions here.
